August 10, 3922. Mâss Ruth C. Waterbury, c/o Prof. Solon I. Bailey, : 80 Buckinghem St., Cambridge, Masm. st Ny dear Miss Waterbury: in I have delayed answering your letter of August 3 as the little package has not yet arrived and I intended to be able to acknowledge the receipt of it at the same time that I answered your letter, but I will not wait any longer as I know you want the field voucher which I em enclosing. Please fill it in in duplicate and return to me. I will approve it and send to Mr. White at once. We are a little bit puzzled about when to send Miss Rebison to the Virgin Islands. It was suggested that it would not be wise to have either of the nurses go down there unless you were there. There seemed to be seme question as to when Miss Robison would be free to mail: In her last letter to us she thought she might get away sconer than she had at first expected, that is, before September 15. We apparently can get no sailings for her between September 3 and September 28. Would September 28 be the best arrangement ? I also was sorry not to see you before you left. I weited a few minutes, thinking perhaps you would be able to get away, then decided that you were probably tied up in some conference, and went along home. I em gled you are having at last a restful vacation and trust that you will feel quite fit before your return to the Virgin Islands. I sent you a selegram yeeterday zegarding the place in whi ch you intended to locate Miss Robison. as you lonow it makes some difference in taking the sailing. will wri te you again when the package arrives. Very sincerely yours, Ida F. Butler, Assistant to the Director, Nursing Service. IFB: DM
