February 7, 1941 My dear Mrs. Barkert In reply to your letter of the 4th of February about Miss Annie L. Williams, I an folder to confidential, write of you Red that Cross the information always contained been in sorry the a nurse has considered and it is against the policy of the Red Cross to give out this information to anyone except the nurse herself. In regard to the question you raise about Miss Williams eligibility for a pension on account of her Red Cross service during the last war, I can tell you, in general, that Red Cross nurses who were never federalized, or taken into the Army, are not eligible for a pension.
