Miss Anna D. Wolf, Director
School of Nursing and
The Johns Hopkins Hospital
Baltimore 5
Maryland
the Nursing Service
My dear Miss soin:
Ever sines I heard of your retirement I have been wanting to
write you and wish you much joy and happiness "graduation.
You must be leaving your present position with upon a wonderful your feeling of
satisfaction in knowing how much you have contributed to nursing
during the busy ears in your chosen career.
Our retired group of American Red Cross staff nurses are
joy to be with. They all have so many projects going on, and participate
in all of the community activities they have been wanting to do during
then years on the job. They look younger than when they retired,
and have a wonderful zest for living. I know that you, too, will be
an important citizen wherever you elect to live.
The American Red Cross is most appreciative of the continuing
support you have given it over the years. One nice thing about
participation in the American Red Cross is that one never needs to
retire from voluntary participation in the organization's activities.
We do hope that you will now have time to come and visit us. Be
sure to let us know whenever you are in Washington as we would love to
see you.
The staff join me in a verbal orchid to you for being an
inspiration and example of what apoofessional nurse should be.
Sincerely,
Ann Magnassen
National Director
