Miss Anna D. Wolf, Director
School of Nursing
Johns Hopkins Hospital
Baltimore, Maryland
My dear Miss Wolf:
You are cordially invited to be an honor guest at
a radio show to be broadcasted from the Amphi-
theatre in Arlington National Cemetery March 12
at 3:30-4 P.M. EWT to commemorate the birthday of
Jane A. Delano. This ceremony will provide an
opportunity to re-emphasize the great need for
nurses, especially for the military forces.
The tentative program includes Lieutenant Douglas
Fairbanks, Jr. as master of ceremonies, Miss Rose
Bampton, soloist, a well-known radio star, Army
and Navy officials, and a military orchestra.
An appropriate part of the ceremony will be placing
a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier; also
one on Miss Delano's grave. Graduate and student
nurses will be invited to attend in uniform and to
participate in the wreath laying, also in making
newsreels.
We shall anticipate your presence.
Sincerely yours,
Mary Beard
Director, Nursing Service
72.
