The New York World's Fair opened on April 30, 1939, the 150th
anniversary of the first inauguration of President George Washington
Shaved Prosciutto Crisps
in New York City. The opening day address by President Franklin

D. Roosevelt was broadcast by radio and television. When the fair
closed in October 1940, tableware from the United States Pavilion
was transferred to the White House, where it was used by Presidents
Lamb Loin "En Croûte"
Roosevelt and Truman. Most of the china, decorated with the Great
Seal of the United States, was made by Shenango Pottery Co.,
Baby Spinach and Wild Mushrooms
Newcastle, Pennsylvania, under contract with Theodore Haviland.
White Bean Cassoulet
The service plate was made by Lenox in Trenton, New Jersey, the
LEWIS CABERNET "NAPA" 2004
maker of the first American state service (Wilson) and five state
services since.
