This file unit contains records concerning the pension received by Charles Seavey (SC 865,620) due to his military service during the Civil War. He enlisted in Company B, 32nd Maine Infantry Regiment, on February 18, 1864; transferred to Company B, 31st Maine Infantry Regiment, on December 12, 1864; and mustered out of service on July 15, 1865. He also served in Company A, 19th Kansas Cavalry Regiment, from October 20, 1868, to April 8, 1869. This series includes the following items:

(5) Letter from the Maine Adjutant General's Office, December 11, 1908, about the soldiers' home at Togus, Maine;
(6) Official statement from the Maine Adjutant General's Office, December 11, 1908, concerning Charles Seavey's service in the 31st and 32nd Maine Infantry Regiments;
(7) Certificate of Record compiled by the Soldiers and Sailors Historical and Benevolent Society, December 7, 1912, concerning the military and personal history of Charles Seavey; and
