State of Connecticut, Litchfield County, SS. Be it Remembrred, That on the 12th day of October A. D., 1854, before the leovuty Court, within and for said County, having Common Law juris- diction, with a Clerk and a Seal, personally appeared. games Ryan of Commall in said County who was born in Incland aged about thirty fix years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Secen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of whom he is now a subject.
