116 At a Sup Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the list Tuesday of Nout in year of Lord thousand the our one eight hundred and fifty light -name Lef PRESENT-HON. Ongers the it Remembered, That on the Hend day of December in the appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Jurisdiction, and of year Washington of in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and Law a Nee White person, our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight Johns Bluel a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Black then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the Glul of the Cumily benefit in Her the Generly of Sitchpical and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: COUNTY OF Stephen ss. STATE OF CONNECTICUT, the it Rememberrò, That on the 30th day of much A. D. 1853, before the blulu of the beung Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L. S. Jhu Bluch of Washington in said County, who was born in Inlund aged about 56 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Vietena Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Hunry 03. Graws Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. la usa bith Henry B. Graue Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Blach has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Black having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that Inn Black be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
