152 At a supr Court, holden Litchfield, County of Litchfield, at in and for the in the State of Connecticut, on the 1/ Tuesday of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty mmo PRESENT-HON Charles full Curdy Gredge the it Rememberrò, That on the sixth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine Joseph Jacobi appeared of datistracy in open Court, the in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person, said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become": citizen of the United States. And the said Roseph a facobi Certificate of the declaration of then exhibited to the Court a intention the blak made by him before of the Superior bourt for paid Couity and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Aetto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: 11 STATE OF CONNECTICUA, COUNTY OF detacfifed } ss. Be it Remembered, That on the fourth day of December A. D. 185 % before the black of the Sup. Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L. S. Joseph Jacobi of County, fallstrecy who was born in heim, in said Germany aged about 27 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to levery foreign Prince, Poteii- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to maximilian 2 . Kung of Barana of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where of, I, Fredench DBuman Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. bies bas Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
