At a Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and 211 Connecticut, on the 13 Tuesday of November for the County of Litchfield, in the State of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty four PRESENT-HON. Deight Somes judge the it Remembered, That on the 14 day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand of eight hundred in said and sixty of four Patrick Colgan County Litchfield, being an alien and free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a eitizen of the United States. And the said Patrick made by him loolgan, before the Superior then exhibited bourt to the for Court said a Certificate bounty, of the declaration of intention abagi and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Aetto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the aets heretofore passed on that subject." follows. Ireland in said aged about 30 years, and on oath did declare that BET it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria been of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Fired K DBuman Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. bies lo loss bas ,band Frederick D Beeman Clerk. within the United States five years at least, And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Patrick Coulynn has resided Jusol williature nill and in the State of Connectieut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. bas And the said Petrick Corgan having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victuria Quein of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Irelagd, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that Patrick looggan be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNPTED STATES. sill lo o)
