Superm 281 At a Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4 hundred and Duty nine Tuesday of Junny in the year of our Lord one thousand eight PRESENT-HON. the 7. Grauger judge the it Remembered, That on the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sexty name Patnek Roun in 25 day of March the of wachington in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Paluck Roun then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before mellian L Runsan clukofitter Superior bourt for Sitesfular County and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled 6. An Aetto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Letterfuld / ss. the it Remembered, That on the 13 day of Yebury A. D. 186 before the Supers Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdietion, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, Patnek Rouse of wachington in said County, who was born in Insured aged about 30 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Metour Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, you s Raman Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Catrick Rouse has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Patrick Rouse having declared on oath, that he would supporti the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to bectore Zuew of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that Patuck Rouce be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
