328 At a Before Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4" Tuesday guneray of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight but hundred and secrety PRESENTI Hon. formal Philips cullege the it Remembered, That on the 22 day of Mand in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and secenty Daniel alien Mulvihill and a free white of North Canaan in said County of Litchfield, being an person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Daniel multipill then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before this bourt and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Bulfuli } ss. Be it Remembered, That on the 6th day of Superior felnuary A. D. 1868 before the Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, Daniel Monthill L.S. of Nortock in said aged County, about who 30 was born in Henry years, and County Sricans on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Denur of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, William X Reanson Clerk of Court, have hereunto set my said hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. on in Wm x Roanson Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Daniel Maulvhill has resided within the United States five years at least, sotale and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Now And the said Danil Monthihill having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victora Deneon of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that Dannel Malni hill be, and he was accordingly admitted of to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. to
