Duright Somis chudge\nII-\nof year of Reent but Lord Remembered, one thousand That eight on hundred the in said County and 3rd seventy of day one of carriary yohn an alien and Reardon a free white in\nde it\nthe\nLitohfield, being person,\nappeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and\na Clerk and Seall) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said\nget H him Reardon before\nthen exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention\nmade by\nthe Superior bourt for sair bounty\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \"An Act to\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:\nCOUNTY ofd Salehpild\nSTATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nss.\nthe it Remembered That on the\n25th\nof September\nday\nA. D. 1808 before the\nSuperior\nCourt, within and for said County,\nhaving Common Law jurisdietjon, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-\nL.S.\nsonally\nappeared,\nof Kent\nCounty, who was born in borkles. Ireland\nin said\naged about\n33\nyears, and on oath did declare that\nit was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE\nUNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-\ntate,\nState and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria. Duan\nof the In Testimony Where-\nof, I,\nUnited of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he Clerk is now of said a subject. Court,\nhave hereunto set my\nhand, and Seal of the said Court, the\nday Jans Ranson and year aforesaid, lo live bie Clerk.\nAnd it the appearing United to States the satisfaction five years at of least, the Court, that said entas has pill\nresided\nwithin\nand in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years\nhe has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nCONSTITUTION And the said John J Reardon STATES, and having declared did absolutely on oath, that and he entirely would\nsupport\nthe OF THE UNITED that he renounce\nand abjure all allegiarée and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereiguty whatever, and\nparticularly\nto\nVictoria Queen\nof the United Kingdom of\nGreat Britajo and Ireland, of, (hom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,\nthat becomó your a Citizen of A the Keandun UNITED\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted\nto STATES."
