year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy three Andrew bahill
of Sharon
in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person,
appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and
Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said
Andrew a Cahill then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention
made by him before
the Superior Country
and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to
establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject."
Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:

having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-

of Sharon in Ireland

County, who was born
aged about 30
years, and on oath did declare that
it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE
UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to levery foreign Prince, Poten-
tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to
Victoria Slueen
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-

Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my
hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. mit no line

And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said

within the United States five years at least,

he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the
United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
And the said andrew leahill
having declared on oath, that he would support
the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce
and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to apy foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and
particularly to Vetoria Green
of the United Kingdom of
Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,
that Andrew bahill
be, and he was accordingly admitted
to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
