56 At a holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 2nd Tuesday of Selplan bu in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty PRESENT-HON. six form Le. Pach dudge - the it Remembered, That the 14th on day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and lifty six Themas believe of lemmell in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdietion, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said bouins then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the County bond. in and County and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Silelifical ss. the it That on the thrinkenth day of Getcher A. D. 1854, before the leming Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L.S. Hernas believe of lemmall 10 in said County, who was born in Ireland burely c/ may aged about twenty /in years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to levery foreign Prince, Poteni- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Yectric Dunn of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Henry B. Grans Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. 16 Henry B. Gnaves Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said bouns resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connectient one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. bixa runs And the said believes having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renonnee and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria been of the United Kingdom of that Thereas Collins Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
