D. 183\nThe Petition of lames Begg\nof simplex in the County of Harlford\nrespectfully sheweth, that he is Foreigner, having County of Renflew\na been born in the\nin Scolland in the Year A. D. 1794 , that he is subject of\na\nthe\nheterm\nSumm Fourth, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. That he emigrated to the United\nStates in A. D. 1829 that before the County\nCourt, held at Hartford, within and for the\nCounty of Hartford, on the 2nd Tuesday of Aug A. D. 834; to wit on the Zath day\nof bug 1834 (said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law, jurisdiction and\na\nClerk and Seal) he declared on oath his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to ro-\nnounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatev-\ner, and particularly to said William the Fourth, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and\nIreland, as by certificate, duly authenticated, ready in Court to be shewn appears-that he has resided\nduring the last five years constantly, in the United States, and for the last year in the State of Connecti-\ncut. That he has behaved during said five years as a man of good moral character, attached to the princi-\nples of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the\nsame.
