¹respectfully showeth, that he is a Foreigner, having been
born in

That he emigrated to the United States A. D.18
That before the super Court, held at Hartford, within and for the County of Hartford,
on the 30^day of March A. D. 18 42 (said Court being a Court of record,
having Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) he declared, on oath, his intention tò
become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any
Foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to

That he has resided in the United States three years next preceding his arriving at the age of

That he has resided during the last five years constantly in the United States, (including the

behaved during said five years as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of
the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the
same. Whereupon he prays your Honor to take his case into consideration, and on finding the
allegations true, to admit him to be a citizen of the United States, according to the Acts of Con-
gress in such case provided, as he in duty bound shall pray.
