COUNTY OF HARTFORD.
ss.
it temembered, That
Richard Brooks
of Ease Mindra in said County of Hartford, but late of the United
Kengdom of Preat Britain and Freland, appeared before the County
Court for said County of Hariford, held at Harlford, in said County, on the
eighteenthedour of August in the year of our
Lord one thousand
eight hundred and forty
the said Court being a Court of Record, having
Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk, and Seal, and declared on cath in open
Court, that it was bonafide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and
to venounce forever all ablegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State,
or Sovereignty whaterer, and particularly to Victoria, queen
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and afficed the Seal of said County
