it temembered, That William Buchannon
of Simsbury
in said County of Hartford, but late of the United
Kingdom of Preat Britain and Ireland, apypeared before the County
Court for said County of Hartford, held at Harlord, in said County, on the
27 day of March
in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and 44
, the said Count being a Court of Record, having
Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk, and Seal, and declared on oath in open
Court, that it was bonafide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and
to renounce forever all ablegiance and fidelity to any foreign Frince, Potentato, Stale.
or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Queen
of the Unnited Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and affired the Peal of said
