Be it Remembered, That on the
of
26th day of March
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and 47 Batrick Green
of
Harlford
on
es.
in said County of Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common
fi-
Law Jurisdiction, and Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States.
And the said been
then exhibited to the Court a certifi-
cate of
the Declaration of intention made by him before thes on
1843
Come the 30' day fland
as on file, and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled " An
Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject."
Approved, 14th of April, 1802.
And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the said Green
has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and
ie
that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the
Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
And the said Green
having declared on oath, that he would support
the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and
abjure all allegiance, and fidelity to any Forgign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty, whatever, and
particularly to Victoria Queen if the united Kingdom of Greed
of whom he was before a subject. It was, therefore, considered by the Court, that such
Patrick Green
be, and he was accordingly admitted to become
a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
