63 APPLICANT'S OATH TO SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. STATE OF CONNECTICUT, MIDDLESEX COUNTY. } Before the Superior Court in and for said County. I, do Augusx Letke the above-named applicant, solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and that it is now, and for two years, last past, has been my bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, and particularly to Nichalas 2nd, Emperor of Russia of whom I have heretofore been a subject; and that I do now absoluteby and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, and particularly to of whom I have heretofore been a subject. So help me Gód. Aichalas 2nd. Emperor of Russia 14th Sworn in open Court this day of October 1904 August Leetke Frederic Funial Applicant. assit Clerk. ORDER. At a Superior Court of the State of Connecticut, held at Middletown, within and for the County of Middlesex, in said State, on the 14th day of Q.lutee I90 4 said Court being a court of record, having common law jurisdiction, and a seal and clerk. PRESENT, HON. Edwin B. Gager JUDGE. In the Matter of the Application of August Leetke of. Miadetown in said County to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. Said applicant having appeared before this Court and declared on oath, and proved to the satisfaction of this Court, that it is and for more than two years, last past, has been his bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, and particularly to Nichalas 2nd. Emperor of Russia of whom he was before a subject; and it appearing to the satisfaction of this Court that said applicant has resided continuously within the United States five years at least, last past, and three years next preceding Nth his arriving at the age of twenty-one years, to wit, next preceding the day of five he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles this Court, Aprie 1896 and continuously within this State one year at least, last past, of the and Constitution that during of said the United years States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same; and it appearing to and upon is neither a member of nor affiliated with any organization entertaining and teaching such propriety careful inquiry, that the applicant does not disbelieve in and is not opposed to all organized disbelief government, in or opposition to all organized government, and neither advocates nor teaches the duty, individuals necessity, or or of officers of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific because of his generally, their official of character, the Government and has not violated any of the provisions of the March Act of 3, Congress, 1903; and entitled this Court having Act of the United States or of any other organized government, "An or caused to regulate of record the affidavits of said applicant and of his witness so far as applicable, this Court that the immigration of aliens into the United States,' approved reciting and to be entered the truth of material fact requisite for naturalization; and it appearing on to oath before this said affidavits that he would the Constitution of the United States, and that he did absolutely sovereignty, and affirming have been duly every made and recorded; and the said applicant having declared and entirely Court renounce and abjure all support allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, state, or particularly to Nicholas 2nd. Coupora of Russia of whom he was before a subject; it is therefore ORDERED, that the said applicant be and he is hereby admitted to become a citizen of the United States.
