in said County, respectfully represents that he was born in Increase
Smith now resident at Placn full
in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, on or about
the 16
day of. September A. D. 18 and is now about 69
years
of age ; and that he arrived
at New Yonk
on or about the 1st day of march
A. D. I8 57 that it was then,
and still is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States of America, and to renounce all allegiance
and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,
honorable Superior
whose subject he has heretofore been ; all of which appears on the record of the
County of Windham
Court, holden at Brooklin
in and for the
on the 24th
Tuesday of. March
A. 01919 a certified copy of which record is herewith exhibited.
AND THE SAID Michael Smith
further represents,
that he has ever since continued within the jurisdiction of the United States that he has never borne any hereditary
title, or been of any of the orders of nobility ; that he is ready to renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to
every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United
Kingdom of Great Britain and Irelan 1
whose subject he has heretofore been ; that he is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States
of America, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
WHEREUPON, he prays that he may be admitted to become a citizen of the United States of America, ac-
cording to the forms of the Statute in such case made and provided. And as in duty bound will ever pray.

I do solemnly swear that I will support the CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES, and that I hereby
renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, par-
