Superior Court, holden at Brooklyn, in and for the County of Windbam, michl now resident at Thumpson in said County, respectfully represents that he was born in greenwall in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, on or about the / of Filming A. D., 1847 and is now about 2 years of age ; and that he arrived at on or about the / day of Nomber A. D., 18 59 that it was then and still is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States of America, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever, and partic- ularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, whose subject he has heretofore been ; all of which appoars on the record of the honorable Court, holden at in and for the County awnthor -he of animal on is this court a minu the melen eacy of age Tuesday of AD a certified copy of which record is herewith exhibited. And the said michel savour further represents, that he has ever since continued within the jurisdiction of the United States ; that he hath never borne any hereditory title, or been of any of the orders of nobility ; that he is ready to renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatover, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland whose subject he has heretofore been ; that he is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States of America, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Whereupon he prays that he may be admitted to become a citizen of the United States of America, according to the forms of the Statute in such cases made and provided. And as in duty bound will ever pray. Dated at Thoughn this 7 day of October A. D. 1868 I do solemnly swear that I will support the CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES, and that I hereby re- nounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentetate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, particularly to Victoria Queen, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
