D. 1904 APPLICATION OF Lans P. Peterson To BE ADMITTED A CITIZEN OF THE BY OCCUPATION A Labore UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. John room being duly sworn, deposes and says, that he resides at Street, in Duby State of Connecticut, and is by occupation a mechanic that he is personally acquainted with the above-named applicant for admission to citizenship of the said United States, and has known him for the past 7 years ; that his occupation is that of Laborer and that he resides Street, in Derby that he personally knows that the applicant has resided continuously within the limits and under State of Connecticut since summer 25th 1897 and that during the said time of his residence within the United the jurisdiction of the United States of America since moment 25th 1897 and continuously within the States and within the State, he has behaved as a man of good móral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. That in so far as he knows, is informed or believes, the applicant does not disbelieve in nor is he opposed to all organized government, nor is he a member of or affiliated with any organization entertaining or teaching such belief in or opposition to all organized government, nor does he advocate or teach the duty, necessity or propriety of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally, of the gov- ernment of the United States or of any other organized government, because of his or their official character, nor has he violated any of the provisions of the Act of Congress entitled 'An Act to Regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3, 1903. D. 1 to and that he now resides Street, in the town that he has arrived at the age of twenty-one years ; that he has resided continuously within the United States since inventority 896 and continuously within the State of Connectient since normality to 1896 and that said applicant did before a Clerk of a Court of Common Law jurisdiction named in the said act of April 14, 1802, two years prior hereto declare his intention to become a citizen of the United States and renounce and abjure all allegiance to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatsoever, etc., as appears by the certificate of the Clerk of said Court, here produced, and said applicant says he is the identical person named therein. Applicant further deposes and says that he does not disbelieve in nor is he opposed to all organized government, nor is he a member of or affiliated with any organization entertaining or teaching such disbelief in or opposition to all organized government, nor does he advocate or teach the duty, necessity or propriety of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally, of the Government of the United States or of any other organized govern- ment, because of his or their official character, nor has he violated any of the provisions of the Act of Congress entitled An Act to Regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3, 1903.
