Bez of STATE OF CONNECTIOUT 9 3 ss. COUNTY OF NEW HAVEN: BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 27 day of march A. D. 185 before me Refund If Story Clerk of the County Superin Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction with a Clerk, and a Seal, personally appeared, Edward Copy Sangler of menden in said County, who was born in xill mintenbug aged about 24 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen the Ming of Wartenburg of the United Kingdom of Groat Britain and Iroland, of whom he is now a subject.--IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand and Seal of the said Yourt, the day and year aforesaid.
