409 STATE OF CONNICTIOUT COUNTY OF NEW HAVEN: ss. 10 BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 31st day of March, A. D. 1868, before me, Arthur D. Osforne, Clerk of the Gounty Superior Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction with a Clerk, and a Seal, personally appeared, Charles Sherman, of Norwalk, in Fairfield in said County, who was born in Prussia aged about 35 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen the King of Prussia, of the United Kingdom of Groat Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject.--In TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Arthur D. Osforne, Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. Clerk. STATE OF CONNECTIOUT SS.
