D. 1850.\n1st\na\nBE IT REMEMVERED, That on the\n2 John Welch of New 16 aven In said Country\nday of april\nin said ye\nappeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become Citizen of the United States: And examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court\nhaving found to their a satisfaction that the said Pohn upon Welch\nis a free white male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of\n25\nIrland\nyears,\nthat\nhe\nwas\nborn\nin\nin said\nKingdom, that heahas resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the Uni ed States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said\nLolm Welch\ndid, pursuant\nto the laws of the United States, appear before the\nA. Junis Clerk if the Cet,\nCourt within and for the City of New Heaven\non the\n30th\nday of\nMarch\nA. D. 1848 the same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare\nthat it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Vietoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nJohn Wilch\nas by the Records of said Court appear. And the said\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject, and that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore the said\nWeach Oath,\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OF CONNECTIOUT\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That onnthe Clirk\nday of January\nA.
