    "ocrText": "303\nStates of America, State of connecticut,\nholden in and for the County of New Haven, on the\n7 day of Absolute A.D. 185/.\nBE HT REMEMBERED, That on the\nIn\nday of\nApril\nin said year Bernard\nshoeninger of Haven\nsaid\nCounty\nappeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said Bernaid is a free white\nmale\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Groat Britain and Ireland\nThe Ring of Baouri\nthat he is now of the age of 24\nyears, that he was born in Bavarie\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said Bernad Shoeninger\nlaws\nof United States, appear before the arrived in the Resisted states of\nthat he has continued Reside therein thena Prithale\nbefore allowing to the age offigition\nand he now here on sach declines that forther\nyears last hast it has been and now is\nCourt within and\non the\nday of\nA. D. 18\nthe same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal and on Oath did declare\nthut it wes bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas by the Records of said Court appear. And the said Bernard shaninger\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingtlom of Gront\nBritain and Ireland,\nThe Hingel Bavaria\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Qath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore the said is hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OF CONNECTIOUT\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\n29th\nday of January\nA. D. 18$ /\nbefore the Superior\nCourt, within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and :\nSeal, personally appeared,\ngames Mc Caffrey\nof new Haven\nin said County, who was born in Laeland\naged about\n25\nyears, and on Oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a\nOITIZEN OF THE U JITIDD STATES and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign\nPrince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to Vietoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject.\nIn Testimony Whereof, I, Osform\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand and the Seal of said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nRobert of Osborn Clerk."
