D. 185%\nPresent Hou celped Blackm are guys)\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\nBinand thautey of NewHaove in laid County\n7th\nday of aprie\nin said year\nappeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said Beriod thanley is a free white\nmale\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of\n37\nyears, was\nthat he born in Inland\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the Ugited States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said Benned thank.\ndid, pursuam\nto the laws of the United States, appear before the Henry G. levin Cleik of the\nCity\nCourt within and for thi city of Nu t basen\non\nthe 22\nday of nerrenber\nA. D. 1818, the same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare\nthat it was hona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas\nby the Records of said Court appear. And the said Bernard Lhanley\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore the said Bernand Thanley\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OF CONNECTIOUT, D )\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\nday of Technory\nA.
