D. 1849.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 21 st\nday of\nMo\nanch\nin\nsaid\nyear\nappeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made\nPatrick Barrow of Materbuy in Raid Country\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said Patrick Banow\nis a free white male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of 47\nyears, that he was born in\nPreland\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said\nPatrick B annon\ndid, pursuant\nto the laws of the United States, appear before the\nCounty\nCourt within and for New He aven County\non\nthe 26th\nday of March\nA. D. 1844, the same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare\nthat it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Vietoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas the Records of said said Patrick Banow\nby Court appear. And the\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Vietoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica.\nWherefore the said Patrick Banow\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OF CONNICTIOUT\n)\nD\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\nbefore the Subscriber black of the Court, \"within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and\nCounty\n9th\nday\nof October\nA. D. 184\n6\nSeal,\nof Waterbury\npersonally appeared, Patrick Cunninghour\nin said County, who was born in Ireland\naged about\n33\nyears, and on Oath did declare that it was bona fid; his intention to become a\nOITIZEN OF THIN U JITIED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign\nPrince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to Vietoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject.\nIn Testimony Whereof, I, RMH Obbarn Clerk of said\nCourt, have heveunto set my\nhand and the Seal of said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nClerk."
