before attaining to the age of eighteen years, and that he has continued to reside therein thence hitherto,-and he now here on oath declares, that for three years last past it
has been, and now is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever to every Foreign Prince, Potentate,
State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen
