A.D. 1882, peromally appeared before me, acto-
tany Public, in and for the state and "Emity afore-
said Albert D. Smith and George n. schultze to
me well Kumn who Thus depese and Day. that
they have Known one Edward R. Dalton for The past
eight 8 years during which time he has been employ-
ed in the way Tard, New Yerk and at the Naval
station at NewLandon, Cenue, That oner about the
22d any of November 1874 the said Edward R.adal.
for stated that he was born in Lindon, England
on April 3d,857 and that from his general ap
fearance once we believe his statement, as to the time of
his birth, to be correct.
