Roosevelt President of the United States and White House Washington, D. C. Esteemed Sir: Prompted by a true desire to serve, I humbly submit to you, as a token of my respect, a blank book which I have had prepared by one of the best book-binders in this country. In it I hope you will find a place for such facts regarding Economics as you might regard absolutely irrefutable. Tucked into the covers of the book are two pamphlets, one written by myself, which has been reprinted a good many times in the last twelve months, and one the product of four series of ten 3-hour conferences each, between a total of ap- proximately 140 prominent Los Angeles professional and busi- ness men with Thomas Nixon Carver, Professor Emeritus of Political Economy of Harvard University. The reading time of both pamphlets is short. I realize that you are busy. I hope that you will find time to read them. Sincerely yours, andrew AHB:GH Encl's.
