When the smoke of battle rolls away, may a like symbol grace the boundaries of many more countries, each based on mutual understanding and love, as is this reminder of the relations between these United States and our good neighbor Canada. We look forward to the day when you may be able to view the original Peace Arch, amid it's beautiful surroundings, and personally greet the people of this great and patriotic Northwest; and hope that some day we may see this small Arch grace your desk, if not in reality, then through the medium of the press or the news reel.
