She took a personal\nSALUS\nEXESTO\nresponsibility and delight in help-\ning to supply their needs, whatever\nthey might be, from warm clothes\nto a little friendly interest. But\nMISSOURI SENATE\nmain and regular feature of the\n60TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY\ngroup was the meetings at Mrs.\nBarbour's house - always with\nplenty to eat! It was her theory,\nand it seemed to work, that she\ncould do more for and with the\nOne of those boys came back to\nsee her the other day, and recalled\nthose old pre-depression days when\naid for those who needed it was a\npersonal and not a government\nmatter. He was Technical Ser-\nspringfolline acporty 1944\nJEFFERSON CITY\nyoungsters if she fed them first\ngeant Gene Long, back on a fur-\nlough after 21 months in the Pa-\ncific. He reported that most of\nthose boys in that old newsies'\ngroup are in the Army now. His\nbrother, red-headed George Long\nIm. Rosendt\nwho used to occupy the Colonial\nhotel corner and was known to\nscores of Springfieldians, is now in\nNew Guinea. Both Gene and\nGeorge are saving their money,\nand have more than $1000 dollars\napiece in War bonds.
