Some time ago, to be exact on the 13th.
day of July, I made and sent you a pencil drawing of
yourself as I see you. Along with my drawing I enclosed
a letter, in which I asked you to grant me a request. I
asked you if you would send me a letter as well as a
photo of yourself. On the 19th day of July my request
was granted for on that day I received the letter and
photo. I wish to take this moment to thank you for what
you have done for me.
Once again I take great pleasure in sending you a
pencil drawing of yourself. This drawing is a sort of
victory drawing, to celebrate your re-election as
President of the United States. On election eve I listened
to the election returns untill 5:15 A. M. My folks, as well
as myself prayed for you every night, and I never missed
a single one of your radio speeches.
I wish to ask you one more favor. Will you write me a
letter and let me know what you think of my drawing and
my ability to draw? I would so appreciate a reply. Hoping
to hear from you soon, I remain
