One\nis collecting stamps, another is making scrap books of various\nprominent people, paintings, pictures of children in magazines,\nand books.\nIf you have never been in Hollywood or Los Angeles, I\nthought you would enjoy a visit here via my photographic post\ncards, the photography of which I did myself. I took all the\nthe pictures as you will notice because my name is on all of\nthem. That is if my name is not, then my initials are, so you\ncan surely know I took them. I have made dozens of many of\nthe various pictures and therefore like my name on them to in-\nsure the ones to whom I give them, that they are really my own\nphotography. That is easy for after the picture is developed,\nI write my name on the film and thus every picture after that\nhas my name on it. I do hope you will enjoy your visit here\nvia these cards.\nYou will notice on several of the Hollywood Blv'd. cards\nradio towers in evidence. These towers are the same ones in\nall the various pictures of Hollywood, the pictures having\nbeen taken from different angles. They are the towers of the\nWarner Bros. Theatre radio broadcasting system. They are on\ntop of the WarnerBros' Hollywood Theatre.\nHollywood Blv'd. and Vine St. is called the \"HEART OF\nHOLLYWOOD\" as it is right in the center of Hollywood. The\nlittle Country Church of Hollywood is only one and a half blks.\nfrom Hollywood and Vine.\nPershing Square Park is the very heart of downtown Los\nAngeles behind which you see the Biltmore Hotel. You also\nwill see two different corners of the park, one at 5th and one\nat 6th Street.\nOfcourse Aimee Semple McPherson's Temple is world famous\nand you have a picture of her too on one of them. The picture\nof the Lotus blossoms in Echo Park across the Street from\nreul meitsher, ESQ.,\n145 West 14th Street,\nNew York, N. Y.\nshoto\nAngelus Temple grow taller thanca good sized man.\nThese are the same Lotus Blossoms spoken so often\nabout in the Bible, and Los Angeles, Japan and Palestine\nare the only places where they grow, that is especially\nin, such great profusion in large parks. Many people\ncall them water lilies. To a certain degree, they are,\nd forgot to mention that today Isent to the\nPresidentia couple of news for articles d wrote + the which\nbut the very tall ones are the real Lotus blossoms while\nthat time a Shofe Gensonal like letter them telling too shofe hour he\nthe very small flat flowers are the real water lilies\nas we Americans know them. They are the large white\nbroad flower, while the Lotus flower is 8. gorgeous pink\nflower and not at all like the white low lily.\nThe \"BROWN DERBY\" Cafe in Hollywood is quite a\npopular rendevous of the Movie people. It was the origi-\nnal Movie Cafe, but now there is another. one in Beverly\n7\nHills.\nThe little white sign seen in the distance on the\nhills in the picture showing the view from the Regent\nHotel says \"HOLLYWOODLAND\", a very exclusive residential\nsection up in the hills. If one was close to the letters\nof that sign, they would notice that each letter was the\nheight of a reguląr telegraph post.\nBack east, one does not see Palm trees (or any other\nfor that matter) growing in the fore-court of a theatre\nlike at the Chinese Theatre. Many office buildings here\nhave roof gardens like on top of the theatre as sometimes\nthere are pent houses up there.\nPresident sends\nI thought I would explain a few of the pictures so\nthat you coul a enjoy them more.
