The original exhibit text read: "Two weeks after the Detroit riot, the Office of War Information released an extensive survey of American opinions on the role of African Americans in the war. These pages from the survey paint a grim picture of racial attitudes in wartime America. This copy of the survey was sent to President Frank D. Roosevelt."
This archival description was created using current reparative description standards on July 26, 2023. The term "negro" remains in the Title field as a publication title. Original archival records have not been altered.
