Dear Mrs. Daniels,
Thank you for your recent letter to the White House regarding
Special Assistant to the President Doug Wead.
Over the years Doug has been a valuable member of the President's
team and has served him faithfully. For several months, however,
Doug has been discussing with a variety of people, and
specifically with me, his decision to leave his White House
position to pursue other avenues. During that period of time,
several options were presented to Doug and discussed.
A short time ago, a mutual decision was made that Doug would end
his tenure here as of September 1. Both Doug and others here
recognize that there have been rumors and innuendos regarding his
decision to leave. None of these have any basis in truth.
The President has named Ms. Lee Ann Metzger as Special Assistant
to the President for Public Liaison. Lee Ann shares your values
and concerns. You will find that she brings a wealth of
experience to the job and will be a valuable addition to our
team.
Thank you again for taking the time to write and share your
thoughts with us.

Dear President B ush,
& strongly disagree with the firing of me Doug Wead,
from his position as Special Assistant to the President
for Public Liaison. He has defended you, been loyal to
you and served you faith fully. Please reinstate him.
Firing me Doug Wead is a major blow for the
thousands of your friends who depend on you to
defend traditional family values. you promised us
when we elected you that you would depend these traditional
family values
The homosexual activists, who represent only 2t3% of
the people, are not the ones who elected you. They are a minute
minority, more than once they have been invited to the white
House for ceremonies. They seem to have more influence on
you than your friends who elected you. These homosexual
about activists the are so well organized that they have brought
to you or to our Lord, They are under the judgment of God, and
to dismissal of me Doug Wead. They will never he loyal
honor them in the white House brings judgment on our
nation. Our nation was founded by Christians who honored

President Bush,
I recently heard that Doug Wead was fired from his position
on your staff. From what I hear he was a good man and his
dismissal was due to his position against homosexuals. Any man
you will hire as Mr. Wead's replacement will not be worth his
salt if he will bow his knee to the issue or issues for which
Mr. Wead was terminated.
Please do reconsider your decision over this matter. I

Dear President Bush:
We like many others in central Louisiana Supported you in
your election for President. WE have virbally and with our
prayers held you up in the community.
This is not a station opinion, only a personal one from my
Husband, Coy and myself. But you were SO highly regarded
by many of us who feel that you have let American Christians
down by your dismissal of Doug Weaks
We believe that you should love the homosexuals, but not
condone their lifestyle. We feel that by your choice you
have chosen the perverse over the sanctity of the family.
Please believe this will be greatly considered in the next
Presidental election.
We appreciate the stand you have taken on the abortion
issue. PLEASE DON'T LET US DOWN BY ALLOWING SIN IN THE CAMP.

Dear Mr. President:
Please consider this letter my strong protest and dissatisfaction
of your permitting the termination of Mr. Doug Wead as your laison
officer in your administration.
We need more of the type of man that Mr. Wead is in both the executive
branch and legislative branch of federal government, not fewer
of them.
You profess to be a born again Christian, why have you as the head
of state not insisted on appointing men of integrity and conviction
in your administration?
We have enough of political hacks in government. Men who continually
vacillate on every major issue it seems, and in Congress men whose
only ambition seems to be reelected as soon as they arrive in Washington.
I can assure you that there soon will be multiplied millions of
Christians in American like myself who will be fed up with the immorality
in government at all levels, the current S & L crisis being only one
example and instead of being passive and non-involved in the electoral
process, we will finally through prayer and exercising our rights to
nominate and vote in men of honesty and integrity clean up the mess
that is now so prevelant in Washington.
Please be assured of our prayers and may you be very sensitive to His
direction in your heavy responsibilities as our President, each day.
Sincerely the yours,
Carl E. Nelson

Dear Mr. President:
I was greatly distressed to hear of the firing of Doug
Wead, the Christian liason between the White House and
the large fundamentalist Christian community. The fact
that he was dismissed because of his biblical stance
against homosexuality was even more disturbing.
I voted for you because I thought you espoused traditional
family values. Homosexuality is totally opposite and
alien to Christianity and the family.
Homosexuals account for only 2% of the total population
but are so loud they are getting whatever they want.
I didn't raise my children to be a part of this destructive
lifestyle, and it's for sure homosexuals are not going
to reproduce their kind - it's only through recruiting
our children and grandchildren that they can continue to
exist.
Please re-evaluate your position on this most important
issue.

decision to leave. None of these have any basis in truth.

surely you have made a mistake,

Dear President Bush:
We are very disappointed in your accepting and recogniz-
ing of homosexuals in the White House and in your unjustified
firing of Doug Wead from your White House staff. Recognizing
homosexuals as legitimate lifestyles is a serious blow to this
country and is anti-family, anti-Bible and totally against the
Judeo-Christian values upon which this country was founded.
We believe that these moves are a weakening of your posit-
ion of pro family and pro country stance which you expressed
when campaigning for your office and again upon taking the
office of the Presidency of the United States.
We hope and pray that this trend will be reversed, Mr.
Wead will be reinstated, and pro family, pro country, and pro
Bible individuals will be placed in positions of authority in
your administration. We are praying for you, your staff,
Congress, all others in the government and those in the Jud-
icial Branch of the government.
Thank you.

Dear Mrs. Martsolf,
Thank you for your recent letter to the White House regarding

Dear Mr. President:
I voted for you and have defended you and your lovely wife
many times. I feel you brought dignity, character and moral
strength to the White House. Yes, I have admired you and Barbara
for the stand you take.
However, I was disappointed in the firing of Doug Wead. A
man who stood for truth and righteousness.
I believe the catering to homosexuality is a sad happening
for the family in America.
Mr. President in the Bible - Romans 1:24-32 tells what God
says concerning homosexuals. I believe Psalms 33:12 and

I hope Mr. President you will revoke this decision.
I hope and pray America is not headed down the drain.

Dear Mr. President,
I would like to register my strong disapproval of the firing of
Doug Wead. I am a Christian that voted for you along with millions
of other Christians because you said you were a Christian that
wanted to uphold Christian and family values. However, in the
recent past, your actions have made me doubt your honesty and
integrity. Some of these actions include the firing of Mr. Wead,
the invitation of homosexual leaders to attend the signing of the
Hate Crimes Bill (you were the first president to ever legitimize
the homo lifestyle), your support of funding the NEA and their
anti-Christian bigotry, your welcoming pro-abortion advocates into
the Republican Party, and breaking your promise of no new taxes.
Millions of Christians are watching and we won't forget your
dishonesty when it comes time to elect another President unless
you apologize to the Christians you've embarrassed and change
your decisions.
The homos and liberals you're embracing didn't vote for you in the
last election and they won't vote for you in the next one. I
think you're cutting your own political throat. Nobody, not even
liberals and homos, likes a person that is dishonest.
The Bible says that God put you in power and that we are supposed
to pray for you. I have been praying for you and will continue
to diligently pray for you. Just remember that you will have to
answer to God for the way you led this great country.
Sincerely yours,

Dear Ms. Brown,
Thank you for your recent letter to the White House regarding

Dear Mr. President:
We want to protest the recent firing of Mr. Doug Wead as one of your
Special Assistants, which is a position of importance.
Mr. Wead represented the views of the Conservatives, and that of the
Evangelicals. We need Christians and God-fearing men and women in
our Government to give it a sense of stability and endurance, and
most of all HOPE. We certainly do not need people who are ultra
liberal in their views and who seemingly do not know the difference
between right and wrong.
Let us never forget that we are a Christian nation; our Government
was founded on Christian beliefs and principals which is often
forgotten in the rush of business and in the heat of debate. The
Foundinf Fathers acted wisely in laying the foundation of our Nation
in God-given Truths.
We voted for you in the last election but if you continue to heed
the advice and recommendations of liberals and non-christians over
that of men like Doug Wead it is certain that Christians across the
nation will withhold their votes from you in the 1992 election.
In our opinion the Christian vote played a major role in electing
you as President of the United States.

Dear Mrs. Blake,
Thank you for your recent letter to the White House regarding

& am very upset and disappointed that
you fired Doug Wead as Special assistant to
the President for Public Liaison.
Doug wead has supported you for years
and this is how he is rewarded? What does
this mean to the Evangelical Christian Community?
President Bush, I'm not sure what you're
up to by counting the homosexual note, but they
represent everything that is wrong in america.
Please reconsider and reinstate Doug
Wead as your Special assistant for Public

Dear Mr Presidenh,
The firing of mr. dong Weads has
been upsetting to us, as he promoted
traditional family values as for as we
know. The reason seems to be his
stand against promotion of homo sefual
lifestyle. We fully support him of hope
you reconsider your action. AIDS is
a tragedy and unnecessary. These people
need to know we love them, but hate the
sin.
also, we feel the national Endowment
of the arts should no longer he funded.
The trash our tap dollars are supporting
is unhelievable.
Why should taxpayers be expected
to bail out the S&L's ? Terrible losses
and no one seems to be held accountable.
These are some of all Concerns

answer, cutting spending is. We

Dear President Bush,
I am extremely disappointed in your
position of compromise on the Homosexual
issue. Firing Doug Wead (a christian with value)
for his view on the opposition to the
Homosexual community was unjust, unfair
and did not recognize the constituent that
voted you into office.
My heart sinks, as a mother of two boys,
to see how the world and now our leaders
are catering to the one sect whose behavior
is bring on a deadly disease. This disease
of AID's has been handled politically thus
insulating the "Gays", AS opposed to medically!
I fear the future for our children who are
unprotected medically and well as educationally
from the Homosexual community.
Now that you are considering the HOMOSEXUAL
lobby and "acceptable" where is a parent'
to go for support for our children.
Please respond to my deep concern.
