The William Kennedy Smith Trial
From The Trial Lawyer's Perspective
Did he do it? We'll never tell. But your January team
will share with you video-taped highlights of the trial. While
we know it will come as a disappointment to some, these excerpts
have been chosen not for their prurient interest but because we
believe they (1) serve as good illustrations of trial dos and
don'ts or (2) raise important legal issues or broader
jurisprudential questions. In short, our program will focus on
education, not titillation.
Cocktail hour begins at 5:30. Dinner will be served at
6:30. Following dinner, your January team will show Smith-trial
highlights, comment on especially good -- or bad -- trial
tactics, and lead a discussion on significant issues brought into
focus by the case. Who knows, maybe even a little titillation
will creep into our program. So, be there or be square.
