The President met with his senior advisors for his morning national security and intelligence briefings. Later in the morning he held a cabinet meeting to discuss Operation Desert Storm and his upcoming State of the Union Address. Following a rehearsal for his annual speech to Congress, the President lunched with the Vice President; met with the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs; and with an official delegation from the Netherlands. In the evening, the President, accompanied by his wife and daughter, went to Capitol Hill where he presented the State of the Union Address.
