The President began the day with a photo opportunity in the Oval Office, and then received his morning national security and intelligence briefings. During the morning, he met with his senior advisors and met with the nation's governors in the East Room. He taped public service messages following lunch. In the evening, President and Mrs. Bush hosted a reception for Republican National Committee Eagles.
