THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON

MEMORANDUM FOR:
Patti Matson
FROM:
Susan Suban Porter
Mrs. Ford has accepted this invitation to attend the luncheon
being given by Mrs. Winston Prouty in honor of Mrs. Aiken, Thursday,
November 21st, 12:30 p.m., at the Columbia Country Club. I have
spoken with Mrs. Prouty, and she is very pleased Mrs. Ford will
attend. Because the luncheon is for only 25-30 of Mrs. Aiken's
good friends, and because Mrs. Ford will know everyone there, I
would propose this as really a private luncheon and Mrs. Prouty
would like it to be considered private. Nancy Howe will also
attend.
Thus, I do not believe an advance is needed on this one.
Thank you.
