Dear Ms. Porembka:
I hope that the facilities and services provided by our
team at the Twin Bridges met with your expectations as
well as those who stayed with us.
I have enjoyed working with you and I hope we will have
the opportunity to work together again. If I can be of
any assistance in setting up meetings for you elsewhere
in the "World of Marriott", in either our hotels or cruise-
ships, just give me a call or fill out the enclosed card.
Again, we wish to express our appreciation for allowing

Hopefully, when you are scheduling future arrangements for

Dear Art:
I was certainly pleased to receive your letter and to
know that you are home from the hospital and recovering
nicely from your surgery. I hope and trust your progress
will continue.
Thanks for sending along the list of those who are pre-
sently planning to attend the 30-30 Club Breakfast on
November 28th. I will let you know the location of the
breakfast as the time draws nearer.
In an earlier letter you requested a print or copy of the
Vice President Seal on an 8"X10" sheet. In checking with
my legal counsel I find that there are a number of re-
strictions placed on the use of the Vice Presidential Seal.
For example, it is not allowed to reproduce the Seal on
programs, napkins, etc. If you will let me know the
specific need you have for the Seal, I will be happy to
look into the matter again and see what can be worked out.
Thank you again and I hope you will soon be completely re-
covered.
Warmest personal regards.

Dear Member:
We are now making plans to hold our 44th Annual Thanksgiving Breakfast
Meeting in Washington, D.C., with Betty and Jerry Ford on Thursday
morning, November 28, 1974.
This trip is for members and their wives only. In checking into trans-
portation from Grand Rapids to Washington, D.C., it has been decided
that air travel would be the best form of transportation to use. The
other form of transportation looked into was bus transportation.
Research showed travel by bus would be a 16 hour continuous trip.
Therefore, air transportation was decided to be the best because it
R.
FORD
would be $88.00 per person round trip providing 25 or more leave from BERRICO
only takes approximately three hours. The cost of the plane trip
Grand Rapids as a group on Wednesday a.m. the 27th of November. You
must return to Grand Rapids by the same airlines, but you have the
choice of returning at any time you wish. The price of air fare is
subject to change before November. Lodging in Washington, D.C., would
cost approximately $30.30 a day for two persons in a single room. All
food costs would be up to you.
Most of us are planning on three nights in Washington. These days
would include Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. The total
expenses for this trip excluding food would be approximately:
Air Fare
$176.00
Lodging
90.90
Total
$266.90
We are asking members living in Michigan but outside of Grand Rapids
to let us know if they will come to Grand Rapids and make the trip
with us or make their own travel arrangements. Members outside of
Michigan must make their own travel arrangements. We would like to
make hotel/motel reservations for all members as we hope to have the
breakfast in the place we stay.
We know November is eight months away, but we have alot of work to
be done on this so PLEASE let us know now if you plan on making this
trip. Any comments you have on this trip should be by mail only.
We will also need your full name and your wife's. If for any reason
you feel you cannot make this trip financially or otherwise, please
let us know. We may be able to help. PROMPTNESS IN HANDLING THIS
MATTER WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.
Sincerely,
30 - 30 CLUB

In a letter sent to you, date line March 22, 1974 was in
a small part incorrect, The line"This trip is for members
and their wives only." was in error the line should have
been. "This trip is for members and/or members and their
wives only no guests." Sorry about that.
So far you nine members listed above are the only ones we have no
