(UPI) -- SUSAN FORD, HER SIX-WEEK STINT AS A SUMMER PHOTOGRAPHER ON A KANSAS NEWSPAPER FINISHED, JOINED HER PARENTS AT THEIR VACATION HOME SUNDAY TO RELAX BEFORE RETURNING TO COLLEGE THIS FALL. SUSAN BROUGHT A HOUSEGUEST, BAY ANDERSON, DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS AT HOLTON ARMS, AN EXCLUSIVE GIRLS SCHOOL FROM WHICH SUSAN GRADUATED LAST JUNE. SUSAN COMPLETED HER INTERNSHIP WITH THE TOPEKA (KAN. ) CAPITAL-JOURNAL AND SAID SHE "LOVED THE SIX WEEKS" SHE SPENT WITH THE NEWSPAPER, ACCORDING TO SHEILA RABB WEIDENFELD, THE FIRST LADYS PRESS SECRETARY. SHE FLEW TO DENVER FROM TOPEKA AND MOTORED FROM DENVER TO VAIL, A THREE-HOUR RIDE. SUSAN, WEARING A WHITE SHIRT AND BLUE JEANS, THE TRADITIONAL ATTIRE FOR THIS ROCKY MOUNTAIN RESORT, WAS GREETED BY HER MOTHER, BETTY. HER FATHER WAS ON THE GOLF COURSE. ASKED WHETHER SUSAN WILL HAVE A TALK WITH HER MOTHER OVER THE FIRST LADYS REMARKS ON A CBS-TV INTERVIEW LAST WEEK, MRS. WEIDENFELD SAID "THEYVE ALREADY TALKED ON THE PHONE AND I SUPPOSE THEYLL TALK AGAIN." IN THAT INTERVIEW MRS. FORD SAID SHE "WOULDNT BE SURPRISED" IF HER DAUGHTER HAD AN AFFAIR. MEANWHILE, SKI PATROLMAN BRIAN MCCARTNEY, APPARENTLY THE FRONTRUNNER FOR MISS FORDS AFFECTIONS, IS HAVING HIS PROBLEMS.
