Dear Mr. Clawson:
I have your letter of October 11, and, of course,
I accept your resignation as Communications
Director to the President, effective November 7,
1974, as you requested.
In doing so, I want to thank you for your assistance
during this transitional period and for your devoted
service to former President Nixon.
As you prepare to depart, please know you take
with you my best wishes for every future success
and happiness.
