THE WHITE HOUSE
NOTICE TO THE PRESS
William J. Baroody, Jr., Assistant to the President in the
Office of Public Liaison, held another in his series of
Wednesday meetings with outside organizations today. This
morning's meeting was with 20 representatives of the electric
utility industry.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the country's
economic situation and get their views on the outlook in
their areas.
Meeting with the group were: Secretary of the Treasury,
William E. Simon; Secretary of the Interior, Rogers C.B.
Morton; Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency,
Russell E. Train; and the luncheon speaker was L. William
Seidman, Assistant to the President for Economic Affairs.
