NOTICE TO THE PRESS
The President today announced the appointment of three persons to
be Members of the Committee for the Preservation of the White
House. They are:
Robert L. McNeil, Jr., of Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania
Mrs. Brooks McCormick, of Warrenville, Illinois
Mrs. Philip Knight Wrigley, of Chicago, Illinois
The Committee was established in 1964. It consists of the Director
of the National Park Service, who also serves as Chairman; the
Curator of the White House; the Secretary of the Smithsonian
Institution; the Chairman of the Commission of Fine Arts; the
Director of the National Gallery of Art; the Chief Usher of the
White House, and other members appointed by the President.
