Deane R. Hinton, of Illinois, a Foreign Service Officer of the
Class of Career Minister, to be the Representative of the United States
of America to the European Communities, with the rank and status of
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
George N. Leighton, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge
for the Northern District of Illinois, vice Abraham L. Marovitz, retired.
