Ford Presidential Library FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JULY 21, 1976 Office of the White House Press Secretary THE WHITE HOUSE The President today announced his intention to nominate Ignacio E. Lozano, Jr., of Newport Beach, California, to be Ambassador to El Salvador. He will succeed James F. Campbell whois resigning. Mr. Lozano has been President of Lozano Enterprises, Inc. of Los Angeles since 1958. Born on January 15, 1927, in San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Lozano received his A.B. degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1947. Mr. Lozano became Assistant Publisher of La Opinion, a Spanish-American daily newspaper in 1947. He became Publisher in 1953, prior to becoming President of Lozano Enterprises. Mr. Lozano is married to the former Marta E. Navarro and they have four children. # # #
